What ships
A private spatial desk.
Sharp where it counts
Every screen renders on a Quest compositor layer—text stays crisp and panels stay locked in your workspace while you move.
Local by design
Video, audio, mic, and clipboard travel only between your paired devices over pinned TLS—on your LAN or a USB cable.
Hands or controllers
Grab, move, resize, and curve panels around you. Arc, row, grid, and sphere layouts—per Mac or for the whole desk.
More than one Mac
Bring multiple Macs into the same space. Click a screen to focus its Mac—pointer, keyboard, mic, and clipboard follow.
Follow Me
Send one focused screen trailing after you with a comfortable, lazy drift—led, not dragged—for passthrough coffee walks.
Room aware
Optional sparse cues around your mapped furniture keep the real desk—and your coffee—within reach.
Privacy is the architecture
No account. No subscription.
No cloud relay.
Pairing is a six-digit code you approve on the Mac. Beamdesk pins the TLS connection, and from then on everything—screen video, audio, microphone, clipboard—moves peer-to-peer between your own devices. There is no Beamdesk server to trust, because there isn't one.
Setup
Working in three steps.
Install the companion
A free menu-bar app on your Mac handles capture, audio, and pairing approvals.
Approve the code
Open Beamdesk on Quest and confirm the matching six-digit code on both devices—once.
Arrange your space
Add virtual displays, curve them around you, and work over your real desk in passthrough.
